The Hotel Rwanda Rusesabagina Foundation was founded in 2006 by Rusesabagina, the real life hero of the acclaimed film “Hotel Rwanda.” Portrayed by Don Cheadle in the film, Rusesabagina saved the lives of more than 1,200 people during the Rwandan genocide and has been honored internationally for his heroism. Charlie Clements, executive director, Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Harvard Kennedy School of Government will introduce Rusesabagina.
