Tigran Sargisian Is New US Ambassador


WASHINGTON (Armenpress) —President Barack Obama on July 14 met the new ambassadors appointed to the US and accepted their credentials, including Tigran Sargisian, who is serving as Armenia’s new ambassador to the US. Sargisian resigned his position as prime minister of Armenia on April 3 and was appointed ambassador to the US on June 26. He replaces Ambassador Tatoul Markarian.
