Armenian Genocide Museum to Be Built in Uruguay

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (Armenpress) — The Armenian Genocide museum construction is on the way. In the first months of 2015, most probably, the government of Uruguay will provide a territory for the museum. Armenpress got informed about it from the Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of South America Dr. Hagop Tabakian.

“All the necessary steps are taken to build an Armenian Genocide museum in Montevideo. The representatives of the Armenian community, the State University of the Republic of Uruguay, the Ministry of Tourism of the country and Montevideo Municipality will take part in the works. These steps will, most likely, be completed during the first months of the year of 2015 and the government of Uruguay will allocate a territory for the establishment of the museum,” said Tabakian.
