‘All Rise! Court Is in Session’ Premieres in NYC

NEW YORK (A1plus.am) — The Mher Megerdichian Theatrical Group of the New York chapter of the Tekeyan Cultural Association performed Berj Zeytountsian’s play, “All Rise! Court Is in Session.” The play recounts the trial of Soghomon Tehlirian, who assassinated Ottoman leader Talaat Pasha in Berlin. Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, had previously praised the Tekeyan initiative.

The main roles in the play were performed by Harut Barsumian, Karnig Nercessian, Harout Chatmajian, Elizabeth Akian, Missak Boghosian, Hagop Vartivarian, and Khachig Sariminasian. Their performance was enthusiastically received by the audience, which included Armenian Ambassador to the US Tigran Sargisian, and Archbishop Yeghishe Gizirian of the Armenian Diocese.
