At the last full meeting of the board, the appointment was proposed by Board Chairman Haig Der Manuelian and officially motioned in by Board Member Joan Quinn, before being unanimously accepted by the Board of Trustees.

Kolligian first joined the board in January 2000. She has been a member of the Board’s Executive Committee since 2003 and has served as the board’s executive vice president since 2010.

She has led the fundraising efforts for the museum over the past 14 years, which have raised close to $1 million, and has taken a leadership role in the renovations of the museum and galleries for the past five years. She has also developed a collaborative relationship with a team of designers from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, who have been a great asset in assisting with major exhibitions.

“Her active role and dedication to the Museum over the past 16 years has made it possible for the Armenian Museum to continue to grow and thrive as an organization,” says Executive Director Berj Chekijian. “We are overjoyed to have her continue to serve in this new position on the Board.”
